Privacy Policy

Three Panels Press respects and prioritizes the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy describes the types of information that is collected and recorded by 3PP and how we use it.

**1. Submission Guidelines**

**1.1 Eligibility:**
- Submissions are open to writers and artists of all backgrounds and levels of experience.
- Contributors must be at least 18 years old. If you are under 18, we may accept your submission with parental approval.

**1.2 Types of Submissions:**
- We accept poetry, prose, photography, and visual art.
- Submissions should align with our focus on art history and ekphrastic themes.

**1.3 Submission Process:**
- Submissions should be sent via email to threepanelspress@gmail.com.
- The subject line should include 3PP Issue # (i.e. 3PP Issue 01).
- Attach submissions in a single document with each new piece starting on a separate page (.doc, .docx, or .pdf for text; .jpg or .png for images).
- Include a brief cover letter and a short bio (up to 100 words) in the body of the email.

**1.4 Formatting:**
- Poetry and prose should be formatted in a readable font, double-spaced.
- Each piece of art or photograph should be high resolution (minimum 300 dpi).

**1.5 Simultaneous Submissions:**
- We accept simultaneous submissions but request immediate notification if a piece is accepted elsewhere.

​

**1.6 Response Time:**
- We will notify you that we have received your submission within a few days of you sending it. We will notify you of acceptance on the allotted date in the timelines we provide, which is a few weeks to a month. If you haven't heard from us after that period, feel free to inquire about your submission status.

**1.7 Rights:**
- Upon acceptance, Three Panels Press acquires first publication rights. All rights revert to the author/artist after publication.
- Contributors agree to allow their work to be archived on our website.

Editorial Process

**2.1 Initial Review:**
- Submissions are reviewed by the editorial team for adherence to guidelines and thematic relevance.
- Submissions that do not meet the guidelines will be rejected without further review.

**2.2 Editorial Review:**
- Each submission is reviewed by at least two editors.
- Feedback may be provided for works that show promise but need revision.

**2.3 Acceptance:**
- Accepted works will receive a formal acceptance letter detailing the next steps.
- Authors and artists may be asked to make minor revisions before publication.

 

Publication Process

**3.1 Issue Planning:**
- Three Panels Press publishes issues every two months.
- Each issue features a mix of poetry, prose, photography, and art.

**3.2 Layout and Design:**
- The editorial team collaborates with a designer to create the magazine layout.

**3.3 Publication:**
- Issues are published on our website and issuu at this time.
- Contributors will receive a link to the published issue and promotional materials to share.

Contributor Relations

**4.1 Communication:**
- Our team maintains open and respectful communication with contributors throughout the submission and publication process.
- Contributors can reach us at any time via email for updates or inquiries.

**4.2 Promotion:**
- We actively promote our contributors’ work on social media and in our newsletter.
- Contributors are encouraged to participate in promotional activities, such as interviews or virtual readings.

Ethical Standards

**5.1 Originality:**
- All submissions must be original works. Plagiarism will result in immediate rejection and blacklisting from future submissions.

**5.2 Respect and Inclusion:**
- We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment. Hate speech, discrimination, or any form of harassment is not tolerated.

**5.3 Confidentiality:**
- The personal information of contributors is kept confidential and used only for the purposes of communication and publication.

**5.4 Copyright Infringement:**
- Contributors must ensure that their submissions do not infringe on any existing copyrights. Responsibility for copyright issues lies with the contributor.

- Do not share/modify/reuse any work on Three Panels Press without crediting the artists/contributors.
